Kirstin Walter

Kirstin Walter – Operations Director

Kirsti has over 20 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. She is originally from the Midwest. After finishing college and a year of Americorps, she drove west in search of the mountains, trees and ocean of the Pacific Northwest. Upon arrival, Kirsti continued her work with children and families; always finding ways to incorporate her background in art and love of the outdoors.

After reading a book about global warming, Kirsti decided to do her part by starting an environmental education organization. In 2013, her nonprofit, Envirovillage, received its 501c3 federal nonprofit status. After several years of running the organization and working in the nonprofit sector, Kirsti learned the importance of developing partnerships and working collaboratively. She sees her work with the Green Go Solar Project as an extension of the work she has done and looks forward to building future parternships.

Kirsti will be supporting the Green Go Solar Project by helping to develop the organization’s infrastructure, create new systems, assist with logistics and seek out sustainable funding sources. Kirsti is looking forward to volunteering in Mexico and visiting Central and South America to help support and develop new projects. She enjoys creating art, hiking, SUP, travel, improving her Spanish and is excited to learn how to surf.
